General English

The General English course helps to improve your overall English language ability in speaking, listening, reading and writing. It focuses on real-life situations and environment preparing you to communicate confidently in academic, social and workplace settings. The course is usually offered at the following 6 levels:

• Beginner
• Elementary
• Pre-intermediate
• Intermediate
• Upper-intermediate
• Advanced

Entry requirements:

• 18 years old or over /if under 18, specific programs offered/
• English test for class placement to determine English language level

Length: minimum 10 weeks

Tuition fee: Average $180-250 p/w

• Enhanced speaking, listening, reading and writing skills
• Vocabulary and grammar
• In-depth understanding of Australian culture and lifestyle

Future study options:

• More advanced English courses such as EAP and IELTS preparation courses
• Preparation and admission to VET courses
